PRIMP (2020) is a part of the Ole Dandy, the Tribute series

Ole Dandy, the Tribute is a work of historical fiction about Jean Loren Feliz, a male impersonator living in the early 1900s. The work traces Feliz’s journey to NYC during the Great Migration, their participation in the Harlem Renaissance, and their pursuit of a performance career in the United States and abroad. I memorialize Feliz through an extensive archive that includes silver gelatin prints, wet-plate collodion glass plate positives and negatives, tintypes, wardrobe, and letters.
