What is a tintype?
Tintypes are made using wet-plate collodion, a popular photographic method in the 1840s. A aluminum plate is coated with collodion, exposed and processed. The way each plate is coated with collodion creates a one-of-a-kind signature.
how long does it take to make a tintype?
Each session takes about 30 minutes to complete. If you are adding plates to your session it will be an extra 10 minutes per plate
Pricing
When will my tintype be ready for pickup?
A $50 down payment will be collected at the time of booking.
If you would like any additional plates made during your session, time allowing, it will be an additional $25 per plate.
Tintypes will be available for pickup between 2 and 4 weeks after they have been made.
